Engineering Apprenticeship vacancies for 16-19 year olds

Get real training in a real job. These vacancies are permanent jobs with the opportunity to achieve an advanced apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.

Where: Manchester, Salford, Tameside, Trafford, Oldham

Full Time

Pay: Ranging from £170 - £220 per week

What sort of work is involved?
The engineering industry is vast and varied; the type of work will depend on the engineering pathway chosen this may be mechanical, fabrication and welding, electrical or electronic. It may be working on the production of single items or products, or alternatively servicing and repairing production machinery in many industries.

What training is involved?
NVQ level 2 and 3, with Key Skills, all supported by a underpinning knowledge qualification such as a City and Guilds or BTEC national certificate.

Applicants should be:

  • Aged 16-19 and eligible for funding

  • Have a good timekeeping and attendance record

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in Engineering and how things work
